Häagen-Dazs E-book, 2013

Haagen-Dazs launched a campaign to help raise funds for honey bee research at the University of California, Davis. Photographers were encouraged to submit their favorite summer photos via Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram.

I was delighted that 5 of my images were selected for the final 50 photos for this E-Book,”Ode to Summer”, which was downloadable on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play. For every download, Haagen-Dazs donated $5 to honey bee research at UC Davis in 2013. Screen shots from the e-book shown here with my photographs:

 

The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County, along with the program GleanSLO of which I am one of the co-founders. My images have appeared in newsletters, Facebook posts, blog posts, printed brochures,  website, flickr and instagram. I have been donating my time over the past five years (aside from one year as a paid employee). Many of my photographs appear in the GleanSLO Flickr Page and my photos and interviews are in the GleanSLO blog series that I helped create. Sample photography shown below.

The Visible Self: Global Perspectives on Dress, Culture and Society, 4th edition, August, 2014, one of my photos published in this edition.

Since 2005, I have been a collaborator and co-founder of a non-profit for our county, SLO Grown Kids. Over the years, I’ve advocated for and given presentations supporting school gardens around the county and my photos have been published to our Facebook page, and our former blog and website.
